- Second Annual Christopher's Bear Parade held at the Seneca Park Zoo. Co-sponsored with CURE Childhood Cancer Association. A bone marrow drive was added this year. Christopher's Challenge paid for the typing of 39 people.

- Fundraising efforts by WMCC, a radio station at Monroe Community College, raised $862.06.

- Paid $3,000 to Memorial Sloan Kettering for a local patient's tissue typing costs.

- Two bone marrow drives were held in the Rochester community. Co-sponsored with Strong Memorial Hospital. Over 300 people attended these drives and all costs of typing of blood samples were paid for by Christopher's Challenge.
September 1999:
- "Christopher's Bear Parade" at the Seneca Park Zoo, co-sponsored with CURE Childhood Cancer. September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. This event consists of a teddy bear parade, entertainment by Gary the Happy Pirate and goodie bags for the participants.

- "Lessons Learned . . . A Guide for Organizing A Successful Bone Marrow Drive" drafted. This manual takes a step-by-step approach to holding a bone marrow drive. This in-depth guide can be distributed to families and/or friends wanting to hold a bone marrow drive.
